Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 148

Good morning - It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close on Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time), and I'll randomly select one card to feature on my blog on Saturday. So, as long as your card is linked by 10 PM Friday, your card will be in the drawing. Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC148 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

This is our last sketch for 2011 - we'll be taking a week off for Christmas and then we'll be back January 1.

I wanted to make a fairly quick card, so I let this fun little Sky's the Limit stamp and die combo pack from Taylored Expressions do the talking.

I started by stamping the balloon on scraps of Choice Buttercream cardstock and Lost & Found Blush paper and then cut out the Buttercream balloon with the coordinating die.  I hand-cut the patterned paper balloon and paper pieced it to the die cut.  I also used the Leafy Branch Die underneath the sentiment, but I cut it in a couple different places so I could stretch it out to look bigger.  The rhinestones around the sentiment and on the balloon are some border bling I wrapped around the oval.  Add a little sewing, and voila!
