It's been a long, long time since I've played along in the Wednesday sketch challenge over at My Favorite Things. Since I'm on a creative roll this week, I thought I had better jump in while the mojo is flowing. I absolutely adore this crooked panel for WSC197!
I stamped the background using the Happy Birthday background stamp in Grout Gray ink and then added the Sour Apple Polka Dot Cover-Up as my crooked panel. I really like how the background peeks through the dots.
I cut out the Happy Birthday Die-namics in Electric Red card stock and then stamped the HAPPY in Nightshift Blue ink. I felt like I need to add a little something to it, so I cut out a Balloons STAX and tied it to the 'birthday'. Pretty fun, don't you think?
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I'm always amazed at your talent, Karen. Your cards are completely different from my distressed aesthetic, but every time I see them I just admire their clean beauty.
ReplyDeleteGreat card Karen - I struggle with overly asymmetirc ideas, but you really knocked this one out of the park! That little touch of tieing the balloon string is perfection ;) Rx
