How Wonderful Life Is

Well, hello there!  I just got myself some new Verve Stamps last week and I started playing around with Wonderful Marvelous and ended up making a super easy, clean & simple card.  Look at all this marvelous white space - yum!!

I stamped the banner first, in natural ink, and then layered the sentiment over the top in black.  I added the little heart from Take Note in the corner to add a little pop of color.  I used my 1/2" corner chomper to round out the bottom corners.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

recipe -
stamps: wonderful marvelous (verve), take note (verve)
paper: primitive white (mft)
ink: black licorice (mft), natural (mft), wild cherry (mft)
accessories: 1/2" corner chomper (we r memory keepers), foam tape

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club

Hello!  It's Wednesday, and that means it's time for another fun sketch challenge from MFT!  Here's a look at the sketch:

I have a birthday card for you today, using Birthday Sentiments.

I cut out the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics in Smooth White Card Sock and stamped the sentiment in Steel Grey and Sno Cone Ink.  I used the Chevron Cover-Up Die-namics in the background and layered the large Rectangle Frames Die-namics over the top.  I added some Flower & Leaf Trio Die-namics in Banana Split as little accents.

Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog to find out how you can win some MFT goodies!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 223

Good morning!!  It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  Want to play along?  Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. So, don't panic.  Don't freak out.  I used patterned paper today.  Ha ha!!  It's been such a long time since I've cracked open a 6x6 pack of paper, and as I was cleaning out my craft space, I found this very unused pack of Cut & Paste "Adorbs" from MME.  This card has turned out to be one of my all-time favorites.  I hope you enjoy it too!

This card features Blueprints 14 Die-namics, which just happens to have many of the elements in my sketch.  I switched out the circle for the polka dotted flower and I cut out the leafy vines in white vellum card stock.  And, of course, I used a Sweet Tooth Button for the flower center, complete with a Hemp Cord bow.

I grabbed my set of Happy Hellos Die-namics and cut out the swirly hello 3 times in Steel Grey Card Stock.  Did you see Laura Bassen's post on the MFT Blog a little while ago?  She showed us how to layer up these delicate die cuts to they pop off the paper.  I loved this idea!  It's one of those slap your forehead moments for me.

I'm also entering this card into the guest designer call for The Cutting Edge Challenge Blog.  If you are looking for a fun, new challenge, please hop on over and check this one out!  It's all about using die cuts, cutting machines, etc.  Super excited about this one!

I drew inspiration from the card in the bottom right corner by Karolyn Loncon.
