Taylored Expressions Release Party

Today I'm showing off a super cute little set called Reindeer Food.  This mini set is illustrated by Emily Burger for the Embracing Grace line of stamps.  It's perfect for quick holiday tags or sweet little packets of reindeer food for the kiddos. 

I started by stamping the reindeer food rhyme in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then stamped the reindeer silhouette in Memento Desert Sand Ink.  I added a couple of Make a Snowflake die cuts with Latte Pearls on the label. 

I added the reindeer food to a 3x5 hobby bag and then used the largest Label Stacklets 1 die, folded in half, to decorate the top of the little baggie.

Here is the recipe for traditional reindeer food:

• 1 cup oatmeal
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 cup white sugar
• 1/4 cup red sugar crystals or 1/4 cup green sugar crystals

Directions:

1. Combine all ingredients in a resealable plastic bag.
2. Seal the bag and shake until well mixed.
3. When its dark on Christmas eve, sprinkle the magic food on your front lawn to help Santa and his reindeer find your house.
4. Makes just enough for all of Santa's reindeer!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek | Day 2

Today I'm giving you a little peek at Very Merry, a set of 22 images and sentiments - from the Whimsical Wishes line by Nancy McKinney - designed for quick and fun Holiday cards.   This set is sold with a word die, "merry" which gives you so much versatility with the coordinating sentiments. 

I didn't use the "merry" die with my card today, but chose to use the coordinating Very Merry Outlines Dies to create the little ornament.  I stamped the ornament in Colorbox Warm Red and then cut it out with the matching die.  I popped it up with foam tape and some Ladybug Doodle Twine.  The papers and ribbon are all from the Merry & Bright Project Pantry Kit - the patterned papers in the kit are Carta Bella Merry & Bright 6x6 and are so super cute!  The layout is Retro Sketches #28.

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club

Hello!  It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another fun sketch challenge from MFT!  Here's a look at the sketch:

I made a card using My Favorite Sentiments.

I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black on some So Happy Together 6x6 papers after I cut it out with a Circle STAX Set 2 Die-namics.   I added a flower accent with a Flower Medley Die-namics die and then finished it with a Blue Raspberry Button and thread.

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek | Day 1

I'm featuring 2 stamp sets today, the first is Rejoice which is a beautiful Christmas sentiment set of 13 cling-mount rubber stamps.  Rejoice is the next set in the Lasting Impressions line of stamps.

I paired Rejoice with the new Holly Cutting Plate and Label Stacklets 1 dies.  The Holly Cutting Plate is a large die, which makes this ornate 4" x 5.25" background.  I stamped the sentiment in Colorbox Dark Brown Ink and then cut it out with the Label Stacklets 1 die and then added a few snowflakes from the Let it Snowflake die set. 

My second card features A Bushel & a Peck, which is a fabulous set of 25 images and sentiments designed for year-round card making.  Doug Applegate illustrated this darling set for the Apple Doodle Ink line of stamps. 

I chose to make a card for fall, my absolute favorite season.

I stamped the wheel barrow in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then masked off the top so I could stamp the pumpkins over it in order to give it the illusion the pumpkins are sitting inside the wheel barrow.  I colored it all with Copic Markers.  I used Jen Shults' DS69 for the layout and the patterned papers are Indie Chic Citron 6x6 from My Mind's Eye.

Sweet Sunday Sketch 167 Winner

Good morning and happy Monday!  It is possible to have a happy Monday, right?  Maybe?  I'm SO late posting my 5 favorite cards from the last sketch - unfortunately I spent most of the weekend looking at the back of my eyelids while I had a killer migraine.  Ugh.  So I  think I am back on track and ready to go this week. 

I do believe this is the best sketch yet!  Your entries were DIVINE and I really had a difficult time choosing just five and changed my mind about a hundred times.  Great job everyone!!

 Wendy created this ADORABLE little boy card, complete with googlie eyes on the robots.  Oh my!  So cute!!

 Anita's 1st birthday card is so super sweet.  I love the coloring and the bright pink 1.  It's just darling!!

 This amazing trick or treat bucket from Katie is so clever!  I love the turquoise, orange, and black together - so nontraditional, yet so perfect!  The funky stitching is beautiful!

 Amy always creates the most amazingly gorgeous cards that just pop right out at you and this one is super FAB!  I love the buttons on the clouds and the lace and little extras.  Just gorgeous!

This cupcake card from Tracy is SO creative!  I love the 3D cupcake wrapper and her super frosting and sprinkles.  Yum.  It really looks good enough to eat!
