MFT New Product Tour

It's time!!  All of the new stamps and Die-namics are now available at the MFT Boutique!  I'm sharing a card using Spider Web Die-namics & Stamp Set.

I made a pretty clean and simple card today - no patterned paper for this one.  I started by cutting out some Tangy Orange Card Stock with the Peek-a-Boo Trio Die-namics and then trimmed it to show only 2 open circles.  I'll show you how I did that in a second.  Then I cut out the Spider Web Die-namics in Grapesicle Card Stock and the spider in Black Licorice Card Stock.  I cut out the letters in Grape Jelly Card Stock with the High-Rise Alphabet Lowercase Die-namics and added a couple Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX Die-namics for a little accent.

The inside is stamped with a sentiment from Spider Web Sentiments and I added another spider with black thread for a little web.

Here is a fun way you can trim any Die-namics that is symmetrical.  I use this technique for many of the border Die-namics, like Simply Scallops Medium Die-namics and Flower Border Die-namics

First, cut out the die as-is:

Next, choose what size you'd like to cut the die - I chose to use 2 circles, but you can opt to use one circle as well.  Place the die cut back inside the Die-namics.  I left 2 circles inside the die and have one hanging outside:

Then run it through your die cutting machine, just enough to cut the one end:

Now you have two finished sides of the die - and you just tripled the fun!

Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for a complete list of all the designers playing along tonight AND you can see all the new goodies!

***This is my second post tonight, please scroll down or click here to see my MFT Teaser***

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close in two weeks, next Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time). Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC167 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

WANT TO BE A GUEST Sweet Sunday Stamper?  I'll be picking my favorite card or project after each challenge and that winner will have a special guest spot as a designer on a future Sweet Sunday Challenge.  I'm SO excited about this!  You can enter as many different cards as you'd like before the following Friday deadline, so get stampy!

I will be announcing the next Guest Sweet Sunday Stamper later this week, so be sure to check back to see if you will be joining the design team for SSSC168!

I made a card using Primitive Pumpkins, a new, soon-to-be-release set from MFT.

I started by cutting out the pumpkins in Kraft Card Stock with the Primitive Pumpkins Die-namics and then layered the pumpkins between a few Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics and over the new Picket Fence Die-namics

Inside I stamped the pumpkin trio in Memento Tangelo and then stamped the sentiment over it in Memento Rich Cocoa.  Easy peasy!

Welcome to day SIX of MFT Teasers!  Today, I'm showing a little sneak of Pure Innocence Owl Costume.

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black in and then colored her with Copic Markers - all sorts of browns today.  After coloring her, I cut her out using a Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and then masked it with some Hot Fudge Card Stock with a Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics.  The sentiment is stamped on Kraft Card Stock and the File Tab Die-namics die and then I added a Vine Border Die-namics along the bottom.  The layout is Freshly Made Sketches # 50.

I stamped the owl again inside the card with Memento Desert Sand Ink and then added the sentiment on the smallest Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX Die-namics.

Welcome to day FIVE of MFT Teasers!  Today, I'm showing a little sneak of à la modes Big Birthday Wishes.

I started by stamping her in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored her with Copic Markers.  I paper pieced the balloons with some Life of the Party 6x6 paper from My Mind's Eye and then used a corner rounder to round out the opposite corners of the image panel.  I also added some brand spankin' new Steel Grey Grosgrain Ribbon, Steel Grey Button, and matted the base on Steel Grey Card Stock.  So super yummy - you will LOVE this grey.  It's beautiful!  I stamped the sentiment on a Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics and the layout is the September SFYTT.
