MFT Wednesday Stamp Club

Hello!  It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another fun sketch challenge from MFT!  Here's a look at the sketch:

I made a card using Pure Innocence Freckles.

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on cream cardstock and then stamped her again on some The Sweetest Thing Bluebell 6x6 papers from My Mind's Eye so I could paper piece her pants and shirt.  I colored the rest of her with Copic Markers and then cut her out with a Rectangle STAX Die-namics.  I finished the card with some Natural Buttons with Flax Twine and a Flower Border Die-namics in Kraft Cardstock.

I stamped her again on the inside of the card in Memento Desert Sand Ink and I added the sentiment from PI All Occasion Sentiments, which is the perfect sentiment set for these PI cuties!

I made a card using this sweet PI girl - Sending You a Little Christmas.

I switched the card shape up to a square because the image I picked was a little too tall for a regular A2 card. I just ordered the Let it Snowflake Die-namics from MFT and I couldn't wait to use them, so I'm now on Christmas card #2 or something pathetic like that.  haha!  I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored it with Copic Markers.  The papers are from Winter Park 6x6 by Echo Park and I used some little scraps with the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics for the little flags underneath the snowflakes. 

The inside is simply stamped and I added another snowflake as well as a Simply Scallops Small Die-namics die cut and of course, added lots of stitching.

Taylored Expressions Release Party Continues!

We're keeping this release party going and you'll find tasty little morsels of inspiration presented by the Baker's Dozen featuring everything that is Fresh Out of the Oven from Taylored Expressions!

I'm back with a look at Doodle Notes this morning, which continues the Back to School theme this week.

I used the Library Pocket Die, which is SO fun for making little keeper pockets - you could use it for gift cards too!  I cut the die out from some October Afternoon 9 to 5 Paper and created the little flower pocket.  I ran the die through my Vagabond again with the striped paper and cut off the extra part of the die I didn't need since I was creating a duplicate backing.  I stamped the Library Card a la Carte stamp in Olive Pastel Ink and then cut it out with the Notebook Paper & Clipboard Dies and pieced together the clipboad part of the die.

Here you can see the clipboard pulled out of the pocket:

I stamped the Doodle Notes images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored them with Copic Markers - I used the broad tip to highlight the GREAT.

Taylored Expressions Release Party!

I have 2 projects for you today - first up is Mark Your Spot, a set designed to fit on the coordinating Mark Your Spot Bookmark Die and is filled with fantastic quotes and images.

I made a set of 3 bookmarks, one for each kiddo.  I cut out the bookmark in Kraft Cardstock and then stamped the sentiments in Brilliance Graphite Black ink.

Next up is Moka Gwen, another fabulous Moka, illustrated by Nancy McKinney.

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her with Copic Markers.  I layered her over an Oval Spellbinders Die and tucked the new Notebook Paper & Clipboard Dies underneath.  I used the Chevron Borders Die across the bottom of the card and then layers a few  Hexagon Stacklets in the corner.

Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peek - Day 2

Good morning!  The Baker's Dozen Design Team is hosting a pre-release peek of all the new Taylored Expressions sets and dies that will be available in the TE Store TOMORROW!  Taylor is throwing a special Preview Party over on the TE Facebook Page tonight at 6PM PDT - there are lots of prizes available, so you will definitely want to join in on all the fun!

Today, I'm giving you a special sneak of the Chevron Background Stamp and I paired it with Little Schoolhouse, which is the next Adorable Abode, illustrated by Doug Applegate.

Boy, am I ever ready for school to start up - only a couple weeks left of summer vacation!  For my card, I kept the layout pretty simple and wanted the Chevron Background to pop out a bit - I stamped it in Colorbox Olive Pastel Chalk Ink on Choice Snow White Cardstock, and the background stamps are all 5.5" square, so you can stamp an entire A2 size sheet of cardstock at one time.  I added the Chevron Borders Die in red cardstock over the School Daze 6x6 paper and then popped the school house over it.
