Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 133

Good morning - It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close on Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time), and I'll randomly select one card to feature on my blog on Saturday. So, as long as your card is linked by 10 PM Friday, your card will be in the drawing. Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC133 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

I have a fun stamp from The Cat's Pajamas again for you today - this is Bearing Flowers.  Isn't he sweet?  I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored him with Copic markers and then stamped the flower again and cut it out to pop it up over the edge of the circle.  Sometimes you just have to make your image fit your sketch, haha!  Since the sentiment was wider than I was wanting, I stamped it twice and then cut out the 'your' with a rectangle nestability die and popped it up with foam tape.  I'm thinking maybe I should have sponged the edges or something, but I'm not going to worry about that now that it's all assembled.  You know how it is, LOL!

A Super Fabulous Birthday!

Today is the wonderful and extraordinary Sankari Wegman's birthday!  I made her a little birthday card using Fabulous from There She Goes.  I started by stamping the 4-petal flowers in Memento Lady Bug ink {4 times} and then cut and layered each flower to create the blossom.  I topped it off with a button and baker's twine and popped it up with foam tape.  The sentiment is from Make a Wish and the layout is from Got Sketch - Sketch 127.

Happy birthday to you Sankari - I hope your day is filled with laughter, friends, and family.  Many blessings to you!

This post is not at all stamping related, but I am just too excited not to share.  This week over at Pioneer Woman, Ree is hosting a Silly Photo challenge on her photography blog and I entered a picture {this is nothing new, I think I've entered about 12 of these things}.  Sure enough - in group 2 is my photo!!

Meet Katie the sudsy goof ball. 

Now I'm just crossing my fingers to be included with the finalists next week - she's giving away happy shiny prizes!

I have another card for you this morning using Toil & Trouble combined with the Apothecary Shelf a la Carte stamp and Spooky Project Pantry Kit.  I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored them with Copics.  I sponged the edges of the paper in Memento Tuxedo Black to give it a nice grungy look.
