Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 91

Good morning - It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close on Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time), and I'll randomly select one card to feature on my blog on Saturday. So, as long as your card is linked by 10 PM Friday, your card will be in the drawing. Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC91 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

Hey look!  Its Trendy Trees and a SU Only card!  I haven't used a Stampin' Up! stamp in what seems like ages - this is one of my favorite sets and I love to mix up the leaf colors with this topper stamp.  The tree trunks are stamped in Chocolate Chip and the leaves are stamped in Pumpkin Pie and then I colored some of the leaves again with an Old Olive marker.  I cut the image out with the small oval Nestabilities die and then sponged the edges of both the white and So Saffron cardstock with Pumpkin Pie ink.  Add a few buttons and some satin ribbon and we're good to go!

Snowflake Sparkle

Hello!!  It's been all Halloween all the time here with the kids and I finally had a chance to stamp this morning while the kids watched Scared Shrekless, haha!  I'm going to keep this short since I'll soon be driving everywhere getting various children to various Halloween, er, Fall Festival parties.  I started by using Mercy's MTSC97 with Winter Wonderland from Taylored Expressions.  I stamped the snowflakes in So Saffron, Orchid Opulence (I KNOW!!), and Soft Sky and then cut them out with the Winter Wonderland Snowflakes dies.  The rhinestones are a mixture of Kaisercraft and Multi-Color Twinkles and I added the Scalloped Eyelet Border die underneath the cocoa ribbon.

SSD Sketch Tuesday #48

It's Tuesday and that means it's time for another Skipping Stones Design Sketch Tuesday and this one is the last one I'll be hosting as the sketch maker.  We've been using past Sweet Sunday Sketches all through October and I'm so completely thrilled to have been part of this amazing team, if only for a short while.  This week, we're using SSSC21, which is a perfect sketch to use up some of those scrap pieces of gorgeous designer paper we all have laying around.  This is such a great card to whip up in a flash - the scraps are 1-1/4" square and they're cut from pieces of DeLovely paper from Cosmo Cricket {yum!}.  Since I'm repeating the papers, I placed the stripes going different directions - it kind of creates some visual interest in the background.  The cupcake is from Cupcake Cutie and I stamped the bottom in Certainly Celery and the frosting in Pretty In Pink for the background and Pink Passion for the outline.  I added a few pink rhinestones I picked up from Michael's.  The sentiment is from Grunge and I stamped it in Memento Rich Cocoa - I had to bling it up as well *wink*

Did you know??  Today is Lynn's birthday!  I'd sing, but I'm her friend and I just don't torture my friends that way.  Just my kids.  I inked up my Cupcakeabella in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with Copic Markers - the rhinestone cherry was a must!  The papers are all from Cosmo Cricket's Togetherness mini deck - yummy - and the scalloped die is from My Favorite Things.

One thing I have to mention - I had already scrapped one image that I 'over Copic-ed' and I was just about to finish this one when my 3 year old decided to run up to me and give me a hug.  Oops!  So, now my card has a little hug love on it.  Call it an extra clump of frosting on the side.  Yeah.
