sweet sunday sketch challenge #43

Good morning - It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the Mr. Linky box down at the end of my post to enter your card. On Thursday at 10 PM (Mountain Time), I'll randomly select one card to feature on my blog. So, as long as your card is linked in the Mr. Linky box by 10 PM Thursday, your card will be in the drawing. Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC43 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

I have another Christmas card for you today - what can I say? I'm in the mood for all things Christmas lately. This week's sketch is inspired by this card by Susan Liles, isn't it so cute? Tilted panels are a huge challenge for me and if you have followed my blog, you may know that I've only done 2 cards with tilted panels. I think Jennifer Tapler is having a coronary over this sketch too - we're right angle kind of paper crafters, lol! Sorry Jen! So with that said, I want to let you know that I'm challenging myself as well with these crazy sketches *wink*.

The Sweet Sunday Stampers also have samples to show you today, so don't forget to stop on by to see:
Now it's your turn! Have fun!

Taylored Expressions Release Party!

Good morning! It's release day at Taylored Expressions, so hop on over to the store and see what Fresh Out of the Oven today! It is finally Fall and I'm sooooo happy to have cooler weather (um, and 2 feet of snow right before Halloween, nice!), the harvest smells in the air, the crisp mornings - autumn is my absolute favorite time of year! Nancy McKinney has done it again and designed an amazing new set in the Whimsical Wishes line of stamps, Celebrate Life. My card features just one tiny morsel of what this set offers and each image is perfect for giving thanks. I started by stamping the pumpking in Memento Rich Cocoa on white card stock and then again on a scrap piece of Fall Flowers designer series paper. I cut out the pumpkin and paper pieced it. I also created my own patterned paper by repeatedly stamping the branch image in Old Olive ink on Certainly Celery card stock.

Do you want the opportunity to purchase all 3 new sets in one glorious bundle? Taylor has put together a fabulous package so you can "get it all" ~ the Super-Size It Bundle includes all 3 new stamp sets {Luxurious Labels, Sweet Indulgence, and Celebrate Life}, the Spa Key Ingredients kit, 3 Potion {spa} Bottles, 10 sheets of sticker paper, and a Chenille Gel Neck Wrap. You can stamp and pamper yourself at the same time! LOL!!

Don't forget to stop on by the Baker's Dozen today and see what they've cooked up for you today. You will not be disappointed -

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek - Day 2

Welcome back to Taylored Expressions release week sneak peeks! After visiting the Baker's Dozen yesterday, did you find yourself wanting a day at the spa? Today it is Cuppie's turn to visit the spa - Sweet Indulgence wisks little Cuppie away to enjoy some peace and quiet. I have to tell you, I have had so much fun making little cards and pick-me-up notes with this set and I know you will enjoy all the samples the Baker's Dozen have for you as well!

I stamped this pampered Cuppie image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored it with Copic Markers - the cuppie wrapper is paper pieced and colored with Copics as well. I'm using the Spa Key Ingredients again today - everything on this card is from the kit except the rhinestones, those are from my own stash.

Now head on over to see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen have whipped up for you today - grab a nice glass of cucumber water, play some relaxing music, and soak it all in.....

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek - Day 1

Good morning! Are you ready to pamper yourself? This month Taylored Expressions is going to pamper you with some fantastic new spa elements! Today the Baker's Dozen is featuring images from Luxurious Labels, which will be available for purchase on November 5th. I love this set because there are different styles of stamps to fit the needs of every personality. I'm using a softer stamp for my card today and emphasized the softness by using the poppin' pastels technique - it creates softer edges on the stamped image. I used WSC104 for the layout and used elements from the Spa Key Ingredients Kit, which includes an assortment of Prism card stock {Intense Mint, Intense Pink, Frosted Kiwi, Razzleberry Light, and Frosted Teal} along with 2 sheets of Choice Buttercream cardstock. The patterned paper is Whirlybird from the My Mind’s Eye Penny Lane collection, which is just delicious! And as always, there is a lovely assortment of ribbon, flowers, and brads.
For my bath salts spa bottle, I've used the whimsical little bath tub and added the BATH SALTS label above it. I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with Copic Markers. To add a little dimension, I've added some Crystal Effects to the bubbles, although it is tough to see in the photo.

Be sure to see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has cooked up for you today - there is more pampering for you with:
