Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek | Day 3

Welcome back to day 3 of Taylored Expressions sneak peeks!  We have 3 more sets to show you today and if you've been counting, that makes a total of NINE new sets for October - I told you this release was HUGE!  I've got a fun little project for you this morning using Tag You're It, an adorable set of holiday tags.

Taylor challenged us to make a set of gift tags and packaging and I took this Small Hinged Tin and altered it using the papers and ribbon from the Snow Day Project Pantry Kit.  I cut the cardstock and patterned paper to size and used the large corner rounder to fit it to the lid.  The ribbon is tucked underneath the lid and the ends are tucked away under cardstock.

I stamped each of the different tag images in ColorBox Fluid Chalk ink on kraft cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers - the sentiments are separate stamps, so you can customize each tag as you wish.  I added a little Alabaster Fluid Chalk ink along the edges of each tag and tied a piece of Cherry Twine to the side.  All of the tags were cut out with the Favor Frame Taylored Die - super easy!

SSD Sketch Tuesday #45

Good morning!!  I'm super excited to be part of Skipping Stones Design's Sketch Tuesday for all of October!  This week we're featuring a past Sweet Sunday Sketch as our challenge and I do hope you'll play along. 
I love these images from Whispering Wings and the cattails scream Coffee Bean Brown Sprakly Fluff, don't they?  Of course!  The patterned paper is Pixie-Licious (so delicious!) from Cosmo Cricket and I colored in the butterfly and water with Copic markers.

Here is the sketch we're all playing with this week - the old SSSC61, still one of my absolute favorites.  I think it's the hang-off-the-edge flag.  It just makes me smile, what can I say?

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek | Day 1

It's Sneak Peek time!  Taylored Expressions has a HUGE release for October and we're starting the party early - woohoo!  The Baker's Dozen is giving you sneaks of 4 sets today - Gobble Gobble, Penguin Pals, Merry Little Cocktail, and Hangin' Out North Pole.  This cute little image is part of Penguin Pals, a set of 14 deeply etched rubber, cling-mount stamps and all of the images are die cut, so no need to trim the rubber before you can get the stamps all full of inky goodness!

 I started by stamping the penguins in Memento Tuxedo Black {seems fitting} on Choice Buttercream cardstock and colored them with Copic markers.  No fuzzy winter cap is complete without some fuzz, so I added some Platinum Sparkly Fluff to that sweet penguin's stocking cap.  I think he likes it.  The cardstock snowflakes are from the Snowflake Edge Punch - I had intended to make a snowflake edge and changed my mind, but I really wanted to use the punched out snowflakes it makes.  So cute!!  I added some Multi-Colored Twinkles to the snowflake centers.  The paper is Mitten Weather from Cosmo Cricket - soooo adorable.  Love the purples.  The layout is from The Sweet Stop - SSS73.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 87

Good morning - It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close on Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time), and I'll randomly select one card to feature on my blog on Saturday. So, as long as your card is linked by 10 PM Friday, your card will be in the drawing. Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. Yesterday was my daughter's 8th birthday!  Seriously?  EIGHT??  She really wanted to have a roller skating party with some of her friends, and wow, did that take me for a trip in the Way Back Machine.  I've forgotten how much I love to skate.  I thought a card for Avery using this cute little Bug from Feelin' Groovy would be perfect.  Turquoise is her favorite color at the moment, so I used that color as my focus - yellow used to be her color, so I added some of that too.  The image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics and I thought it would be really cute to write her age on the license plate.  Can I tell you how nervous I was trying to write that on there?  I forgot to add it until after I had mounted the image up with dimensional tape!  No do-overs! haha!  I added a couple Aqua Rhinestones along with some blue glitter brads.  Instead of a square, I decided to use the rainbow image and cut it out and pop it up over the main image panel - added some Sugar Sparkly Fluff to the clouds as well.  Can't have clouds without the fluff you know!  The paper is Flower Power by Doodlebug, Inc.
