Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek - Day 2

Good morning and welcome to another Taylored Expressions sneak peek! Did you all get hungry while perusing the Baker's Dozen blogs yesterday? I sure did! Today you might want to pour yourself a tall glass of ice cold lemonade and kick back & Chillax, yep - this is today's peek. A new set in the Whimsical Wishes line which will be available for purchase tomorrow - woohoo! There are so many darling images in this set, for both the men and women in your life, and I chose to use this sweet little umbrella drink for my card. I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with Copic Markers. The sketch is from Mercy Kerin, MTSC32, which is just way too much fun not to use. A new sketch blog - sweet! I finished the card with some So Saffron ribbon and Playground Designer Buttons and there you go - a nice Chillaxing card.

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek - Day 1

It is finally time for another sneak peek for Taylored Expressions! I love it! I missed making fun little treats for you in July. Have you been anxiously waiting for new goodies from TE? Today, the Baker's Dozen is giving you a little peek at Berries & Cherries, quite possibly the most delicious set you will ever stamp with - How can you go wrong with cherries, and berries, and oh, let's see, CHOCOLATE! I'm not giving you a taste of the chocolate today - you must come back for that later, bwahahahaha! More exciting news for you - the Berries & Cherries set also comes with a coordinating Key Ingredients kit, which includes some of this delicious strawberry paper from Doodlebug {yes, even this amazingly cute glittery paper too!}, 4 strawberry brads, 5 yards of coordinating ribbon, a bottle of Ruby Red Liquid Pearls, Choice White and Prism card stock {Rose Medium, Intense Kiwi, Razzleberry Light, Suede Brown Dark, Baby Blue Medium}.



Now for the details: I stamped the cherries in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Choice White card stock and colored them in with Copic Markers (I'm getting better with all this practice, yea!) and then cut them out and popped them up on dimensionals. TIP: I cut out the stem center with a hobby blade before I cut the rest of the cherries out. The layout of the card comes from Taylor's Cupcake Challenge, TECC76 and I dressed the card up a bit by using some glitter paper and fun polka-dot organdy ribbon. To balance the card out a bit, I added a strawberry brad to the ribbon. The scallops were cut out from my Nestabilities along with their coordinating shape - I don't think I can make a card without using my Nesties!

Hello again! I'm back with my sample for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge {you can see the sketch in the post below} and I have to tell you, I'm not crazy about this card. What is it? Maybe the proportions are off? It's the butterfly... I don't know, but something is really bugging me about it. Maybe it's the paper - the paper is WAY out of my comfort zone, haha! I'm going to give this sketch another go since I really like it. Then I'll feel better and can recycle this one for parts. Come on, you know you do that too, heheh...

sweet sunday sketch challenge #29

I have been wanting to use my new Blossom Nestabilities for a very long time and last week's Mojo sketch fits perfectly! More Cottage Wall paper was calling me, so I had to use that along with some scrumptious polka-dot ribbon. I stamped the stems from Verve's Miracles Blossom in Old Olive ink and the matching tulips in Rich Razzleberry. When I finished I realized there isn't a nice place for a sentiment, so I think I'll add this one to the grab and go catagory for any occasion. Can't have too many of those now, can you?
