Good morning!! It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! We are switching it up and going back to creating a new challenge for you every Sunday. Woot!
I would also like to introduce to you two very important people - our new design team members!
Please help me welcome Barbara Anders - you may know her fabulous work. She is the queen of crisp and clean cards and I know she will bring a fresh new take on the weekly sketches.
And give another warm welcome to Jenny Peterson - she is crazy amazing with her coloring skills and I can't wait to see her fun, spunky personality in her Sweet Sunday projects.
I'm so excited to have these two very talented ladies join our team!!
Want to play along? Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close on Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time). Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC201 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.
I stamped with another new set from My Favorite Things, which will be available on Tuesday. This is Sunny Day Doodles - Love It.

I kept this card fairly clean and simple. I started with a Smooth White Card Stock base and then created a little faux layer with the hearts border from LJD Hearts & Stitches stamp set. Since the border stamp is much longer than the width of the card, I was careful to ink up only the hearts I needed to use. Or you could also mask off the edges of the card stock so that you don't accidentally ink up areas you want to keep clean. The plaid paper is stamped in Sno Cone and Grout Gray Ink (the new yummiest color!) using the Plaid Background Builder stamp set. For the sentiment, I stamped it in Black Licorice and then stamped it again on Sno Cone and Electric Red Card Stock so I could paper piece the different elements in the image. Super fun and easy to do! I added a little Copic Marker coloring to the words as well.
The Sweet Sunday Stampers have much more to show you. Please hop on over and see:
