Hello!  It's time for the My Favorite Things May Release Countdown and we have a FULL week of fantastic new stamps and Die-namics to show you.   AND we have some fun prizes for you too, so be sure to hop on over to the MFT Blog to see how you can win some MFT goodies this week.

All of these new products will be available for purchase on May 13th @ 10 PM Eastern.

Tonight I have a little peek at newest Birdie Brown set - this is Let's Hang Out.

I started by stamping the tree on some X-Press It Blending Card Stock and used that sheet as my background.  I cut out the tire swing and this sweet little girl using the coordinating Birdie Brown Let's Hang Out Die-namics and then stamped them in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic Markers.  I assembled the scene and then stamped the sentiment in the top corner.

Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for a complete list of designers playing along in today's countdown AND find out how you can win some MFT goodies!

The team is starting countdown week off with a little peek at Lisa Johnson's new set, LJD Sea Life.

I started by cutting out the Sea Life Die-namics in Smooth White Card Stock and then stamped the fish in Orange Fizz and Tangy Orange, and then in Lemon Drop and Orange Fizz, creating a two tone effect.  All of the element pieces are from the new Blueprints 15 Die-namics set and I used the Blueprints Digital Sketch Download, which you can find on the MFT Blog.  I stamped the sentiment in the corner with Black Licorice Ink and then added a few enamel dots for a little accent.

Verve Divas Inspiration Hop {May}

Welcome to Verve's May Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's hopping time! This month we've got a fabulous challenge that's sure to take you on a sentimental journey! So in addition to a comment prize hidden along the hop, you can play along with the challenge and link up your creation for a chance to win another prize!

Our April challenge is Font Focus:

Fancy fonts are all the rage! Let your inner wordsmith shine and make a gorgeous sentiment (or two or three!) the focus of your card. Whether you draw inspiration from the graphic or take some poetic license of your own, just flash us some fonts!

I love how the stamp sets from Verve always have a great mix of sentiment stamps with amazing fonts, so this challenge is a fabulous way to show them off!

I started by stamping the dotted background from Better Together in blue ink and then stamped the poppy trio from Poppy Birthday directly over the top.  I used the solid stamps to fill in the red flowers and then added the little leaf on the side.  The stems and leaf are colored in with Copic Marker YG13.  I added the birthday sentiment and highlighted "Amazing" with the arrow image from Better Together, in yellow ink.  Of course, no card is complete without a little bling too.

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we've got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blog today for all the prize info and deadlines, and a little bit about our brand new Diva!

I stamped!! Yay!  It's been about 2 weeks since I last put ink to paper and it feels good to get back on that horse.  This is a great sketch for a bold sentiment stamp, which really helps to make a quick card.

I inked up this greeting from MFT's Vertical Greetings stamp set and stamped it in Black Licorice Ink on Smooth White Card Stock.  I used the Pierced Rectangle STAX Die-namics to cut it out and the placed it over a piece of Kraft.  I used the Polka Dot Cover-Up Die-namics in the background with Sno Cone Card Stock.  The color palette is the May Color Palette Challenge from MFT.

Be sure to stop by and see what the Sweet Sunday Stampers have whipped up for you today:

Here are the fun products I used on this card, which you can find in the MFT Boutique:
