It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close in two weeks, next Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time). Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC177 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.
WANT TO BE A GUEST Sweet Sunday Stamper? I'll be picking my favorite card or project after each challenge and that winner will have a special guest spot as a designer on a future Sweet Sunday Challenge. I'm SO excited about this! You can enter as many different cards as you'd like before the following Friday deadline, so get stampy!
I will be announcing the next Guest Sweet Sunday Stamper later this week, so be sure to check back to see if you will be joining the design team for SSSC178!
Alright - so first off, I must send out gigantic apologies. I have completely forgotten to pick a guest stamper from the darling entries for SSSC175. By the time I remembered, I felt it was too late in the week to give someone a proper amount of time to create. So with that being said, I will be picking 2 guest stampers for SSSC178 - one stamper will be selected from the entries submitted for SSSC175 and the other stamper will be selected from the entries submitted for SSSC176. Thank you for being so patient with this crazy lady who will one day, possibly, get her act together. Ha!
I have another little sneak peek set from My Favorite Things - this is Pure Innocence Cute as a Button.

I started by stamping her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card Stock and then colored her with Copic Markers. I used a Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics die to cut out the image and then used Kraft Card Stock for the matte.
I used some of the individual buttons from the soon-to-be-released Button Border Die-namics in Sweet Tooth Card Stock and finished them with some white perle thread. I really like the white accents - it gives a little pop to the card, but your attention is still on this sweet little PI girl.
I stamped the sentiment on a Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics on the inside of the card as well and used more of my fave zigzag stitching again.

ReplyDeleteHi Karen - beuatiful card!
ReplyDeletei just wanted to let you know that I was happy when I saw your post in my blogger list. Normally the preview or thumbnail is the "pin it" button. And as I like to get curious by seeing thumbnails and knowing what to expect, this was never very inviting. Today there was a thumbnail of your card again - and that made me smile ;)
