I picked up a couple of Christmas shadow box frames on clearance and I converted this one into this fun decorated frame. It's amazing what you can find in the holiday clearance bins, especially when you are looking for items to alter. Shadow boxes are a great way to showcase your papercrafting projects and it is super easy to swap out the Christmas, Valentine's Day, or Easter mats and images, so be sure to look beyond the holiday stuff inside the frame and grab these for a steal of a deal!
I wanted to make the sentiment the focus of the frame. I cut out the die cut with the Vertical Greetings Die-namics die and the stamped the sentiment with Brilliant Graphite Black ink. I love this ink for bolder images! I layered all the pieces together using MFTWSC29 for the layout. After stamping the sentiment, it was all about the Die-namics - wheee!! I added the Photo Corners Die-namics in the top left corner, and I LOVE layering the scallops and straight corners together. I'm a scallop girl. Underneath the Vertical Greetings Die-namics, I added just a peek of a Mix & Match Banners Die-namics and added a couple of Latte Pearls over the top to look like it's attached that way.
I layered two Skyline Border Die-namics together, one in Buttercream and one in Kraft, and then added the Paper Doll Border Die-namics in the same color cardstock. It's finished with a Pretty Posies Die-namics flower and of course, the Open Oval Edge Die-namics.
Here is a look at the sketch and Die-namics I used on this project:
Thanks so much for stopping by!
