Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 149

Good morning - It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close in two weeks, next Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time), and I'll select my most favorite card to feature on my blog on Saturday and the winner will be a guest designer on a future Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. So, as long as your card is linked by 10 PM next Friday, your card will be in the running. Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC149 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

We're changing things up here for 2012 {new year = new look} and instead of a weekly challenge, we'll be slowing it down a bit and creating a new challenge every other week.  Now you have 7 days longer to make a card for the challenge.  If you're like me, that short 7-day week gets away from me way to quickly - you should see all the sketches I have earmarked on the to-do list, LOL!

Edited:  If you ever wonder how much time you have left to upload your submission, you can look at the bottom of the challenge post and Inlinkz will show you how many days (or hours) are remaining until the challenge closes.

WANT TO BE A GUEST Sweet Sunday Stamper?  I'll be picking my favorite card or project after each challenge and that winner will have a special guest spot as a designer on a future Sweet Sunday Challenge.  I'm SO excited about this!  You can enter as many different cards as you'd like before the following Friday deadline, so get stampy!

Now, on to this week's challenge.  If you saw the sneak peek on Facebook, then you know there is a sweet prize this week!  Woot!!  Sparkle Creations is sponsoring this week's challenge and that means you have a chance to win 2 - TWO - adorable stamps from the store.  Sparkle has graciously offered to give away:

On Friday, January 13th, I'll be randomly selecting one winner through a random number generator, so enter as many times as you like - you just need to make a new card each time you enter and add a direct link to the blog post or online gallery photo of your project to qualify.  Sound good?!?

So, to celebrate Sparkle Creations this week, I made a card with Ice Skating Chloe.

LOVE her!  I dressed her up all pink and turquoise, cause you can do that when you stamp, LOL!  I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored her with lots and lots of Copic markers.  The patterned papers are some of the few remaining scraps I have left of Holly Jolly Christmas by Echo Park.  For the ribbon, I used the gathering stitch (setting E on the Janome Sew Mini) and sewed directly on the ribbon and then gathered it to pucker - then I glued it to the paper.

The Sweet Sunday Stampers have amazing sketch samples to show you today, so stop on by to see:
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Karen
