Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 104

Good morning - It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close on Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time), and I'll randomly select one card to feature on my blog on Saturday. So, as long as your card is linked by 10 PM Friday, your card will be in the drawing. Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC104 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

And birthday week continues here in the Giron house/world.  Yesterday was my son's party and today it is my sweet nephew's 8th birthday!  This little number is for my nephew.  I made this super easy card with Taylored Expressions Make a Wish and combined it with patterned papers from Report Card and Fly a Kite by October Afternoon.  I didn't even use Copics!  The sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and again in Warm Red Fluid Chalk Ink where I cut out the candle/star 'i'.  The balloons are stamped in Blue Lagoon and Pumpkin Spice and cut out with the coordinating Make a Wish Balloons Die.  I cut out the banner and popped it up across the card with foam tape and then I added a few red rhinestones.

My husband, who is the brilliant chef, baker, and all-around awesome man of the house made Andrew an adorable dino cake and it was just too cute not to share a photo with you.  Now, we can't take the credit for this one, but we found this cake online and copied it.

The cupcakes are dinosaur eggs - just a tad out of proportion... haha!

The Sweet Sunday Stampers have amazing sketch samples to show you today, so stop on by to see:
Thanks for taking on the challenge this week!
Karen
