thankful for you

Hiya! Happy Saturday!  I'm notorious for losing older paper packs and that is what happened to this perfectly fall paper.  I found it when I was digging around the bottom of my craft room and much to my delight, I have a ton left!  Anyone else do that??  The layout for this card is SC246. I wanted to try something different that a traditional bow with the ribbon, so I took a little scrap, folded it in half and attached it to the card with a corduroy brad.  Dare I say masculine??  Maybe not with the scallops...  this may be the closest I get to making a masculine card, LOL!

recipe -
stamps: Celebrate Life (Taylored Expressions)
paper: Really Rust, Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White card stock; Autumn Vine dsp
ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Versamark
accessories: Chocolate Chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, Chocolate Chip Corduroy brads, square/scallop Nestabilities (Spellbinders), clear embossing powder, Stampin' Dimensionals

  1. LOVE this card Karen - the colours, layout, everything. I think it could pass for a masculine card for sure!

  2. I just found some older Christmas pp yesterday and now I have to wait 10 months to use them. They may be lost again by then.:)
Love the colors on your card and the bow is great.

  6. I really like what you did with the leaf Karen. Lovely colours and great sketch. I love finding bits of old favourites and even better when I find bigger bits.

  7. A great masculine card, but I wouldn't mind receiving it either! I found some wonderful paper in my craft room the other day and hadn't realised I had bought it!! (Don't tell my husband!)
