sweet sunday sketch challenge #30

Good morning - It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use Mr. Linky down at the end of my post to enter your card. On Thursday at 10 PM (Mountain Time), I'll randomly select one card to feature on my blog. So, as long as your card is linked in the Mr. Linky box by 10 PM Thursday, your card will be in the drawing. Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC30 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

This week's sketch is inspired from a card by Roree Rumph, featured in the March issue of Cards. You can put whatever you would like on the main image panel - stamp it, embellish it, use die cuts, or patterned paper - stay within the boundaries or let your project overflow.

For my card today I used Branching Out, and this tree has been begging me to come out of the box and play. I stamped the tree top twice - once on Old Olive card stock and again on some The Write Stuff specialty paper. I cut the leaves out of the Old Olive image and attached them to the patterned paper - gives it a fun little look. I added some green dew drops at the bottom to balance out the green in the card.

Now it's your turn - have fun!
Karen

recipe -
stamps: branching out (taylored expressions)
ink: close to cocoa, old olive
paper: bashful blue, pumpkin pie, old olive whisper white card stock, the write stuff specialty paper, spring dsp (retired - can't remember the exact name of it)
accessories: bashful blue grosgrain ribbon, dew drops, stampin' dimensionals
