a little help from my favorite places

I seem to have lost some mojo over the weekend and so I hopped over to Clean & Simple Stamping and Color Throwdown for a little jumpstart. Boy am I so glad I did! I'm combining the challenges for today. This week the colors are Lovely Lilac, Elegant Eggplant, and Old Olive - I am so surprised how lovely they look together! I don't think I've touched Lovely Lilac since someone had a special order for it a long time ago. The sketch is FTL43 and it's a lovely one (well, they are always awesome!).
I stamped the flower from Eastern Blooms in Lovely Lilac and then colored sections of it with my Elegant Eggplant Stampin' Write marker. To add a little dimension to the flower, I added some rhinestones and Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the center. I just used a tiny dab of Tombo Multi Adhesive to add the Tiny Twinkles to the flower.

Thanks for stopping by!
Karen

  2. Fun! I love that little hint of purple peeking out from around the edge of your mat---and I haven't seen this flower for a long time! Looks great with this layout, too!
    Thanks for playing!

I must be brave and try eggplant (of the "Elegant' variety) myself hahaha. See... I can always count on you to inspire me.
