key ingredients challenge

Good morning! I'm so excited it is time for the May Key Ingredients Challenge, to celebrate the release of this month's Key Ingredients kit. You are going to LOVE this kit! The colors are so awesome and it comes with Dew Drops, hardware, and of course lots of yumm-o-licious ribbon. Don't miss out on a single kit, get a 3 or 6-month subscription and all of these fun items will arrive on your doorstep before anyone else sees them!

Everyone needs a stash of cards on hand for those times when you need to get something out in the mail today, but you have no time to stamp. Our challenge this month is to make an all-occasion card for those times we need to grab a card on the fly. Our required element is to use stitching, faux or real and our restricted element is NO sentiment on the front. How fun!!

I used Mojo87 for my sketch and Branching Out for my images and colored them in with Copic markers - the paper is so delish from this May Key Ingredients, love it!! I added some purple Dew Drops in the corner for a little extra somethin' and then added my stitching element around the square. The key to making faux stitching look real is to drag your pen into each hole instead of using a straight edge. It gives it a look of thread instead of a line of marker.

Thanks for stopping by today! Please hop on over to the other half of the Baker's Dozen to see their take on today's challenge.
You can join in on the fun and win some fun goodies - just head on over to Taylor's blog for all the details!

I've been sitting here trying to find the faux stitching you know, face pressed up against the screen looking at the BIG square thinking WOW... how neat is that... and now have just realised that the stitching is in fact on the little square!!! Oh and it is still very neat!! hahahaha.
