you're a hoot

I found this fantastic sketch over at Lizzie Anne Designs today and knew I had to use it. Since it's St. Patrick's Day, I had to use some green, right? This darling little owl is from Branching Out Coordinates from a new stamp line, Whimsical Wishes, available at Taylored Expressions. I love this stamp set with it's quirky sayings - You're a hoot! I started this card out thinking I'd make a masculine card with all these greens and browns, but see what happened? Ribbon... scallops... Oh well! I think a man could still recieve it, don't you?

Enjoy your St. Patrick's Day - are you wearing green today?

recipe -
stamps: branching out, branching out coordinates (taylored expressions)
ink: basic brown, certainly celery, always artichoke, creamy caramel, close to cocoa, more mustard, versamark

accessories: certainly celery 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, scallop edge punch, stampin' dimensionals, white embossing powder, creative memories cutting system - ovals

  1. I've done that so many times - started off for a guy and added ribbon and stuff! But I'm sure anyone would love this - even a guy! LOL!

  2. Absolutely Karen!!! I recently did a Cards for Boys (Men) night and well I couldn't resist adding some ribbon to a couple of them!!!! LOL

    Gorgeous card!
