an actual real-life bow!

Yes, that's right - I actually tied a real bow and it isn't upside down or lopsided! I can't believe it - usually I try to tie the bow and end up changing it to a knot because it looks like my 5-year-old tied it. I'm such a proud crafter right now... *tearing up*...
Ok, enough sap! I love using 4-1/4 sqare cards - love the size, love the space, love 'em love 'em love 'em! Plus, you can fit it in a regular A2 envelope and not pay extra for postage - bonus! This card is for Kristina's color challenge {very vanilla, certainly celery, soft sky, and pumpkin pie}. Aren't those baby booties just too cute?! I found another scrap of this retired designer series paper that I can't remember the name of (sorry again) and thought it would be so cute to use it as the stems for the flowers. I think it works, right? I didn't leave any room for a sentiment though, so this will just be an any occasion card and I'll just write my own inside. The buttons are 'strung' with tiny strips of pumpkin pie paper, which I just did on a whim after I had shaved off some of the pumpkin pie paper border. Easier than threading a needle I must say.

That's it for today - it's late {11:45} and we had a very busy day of potty training and I'm exhausted. He's doing great though and ended the day great, so I'm motivated for tomorrow. If there ever was a time when I wish I could fast forward my days a bit, this would be it. Have a wonderful day!

Details -
paper: soft sky textured cardstock, pumpkin pie cardstock, designer series paper
accessories: naturals buttons, flower fusion accents & elements, soft sky double stitched grosgrain ribbon, pumpkin pie striped grosgrain ribbon, mini glue dots, stampin dimensionals

  3. That is too funny. Great card, Great Bow. My DH saw me watching the Werner school of design "how to tie a bow" (twice) and he just laughed at me. DH: "Man I learned how to do that BEFORE I went to school, sorry to hear about your lagging ability".
